Tommy and his wife's help with transportation during heavy rains was invaluable, and their cozy café downstairs served the best breakfast, especially the beef croissant and cappuccino.

The guesthouse is in a central location, making it easy to explore Koyasan on foot. Our room was not only spacious and comfortable but also very clean. The hosts, Masahiro and Nana, felt like family by the end of our stay, sharing great local insights and serving delicious breakfast options. Highly recommended for a memorable experience!
Nothing to complain about, though be mindful of stairs.

fantastic location, kind hosts, clean room
Be prepared for stairs if you're on the upper levels!!! The guesthouse's hidden alleyway can be a real hassle to navigate, especially at night.

10/10
Yo, the host was amazing! Gave us cool history about Koyasan and warned us about those early-closing eateries. The 6am prayer at Okuno-in? Spectacular! The room was super comfy too—had everything we needed. And that little café next door? Perfect start to the day with fresh coffee. Just a bit noisy from neighbors at night, though.

great stay but some noise
The location is fantastic, right in the center of town, making it easy to walk to local attractions. Tommy's genuine warmth and knowledge about the area truly enhanced our visit, like recommending the best local dining spots. The cozy café next door serves amazing breakfast options which are hard to find early in Koyasan, especially their fresh coffee and delightful pastries.
However, there was some noise from neighbors at night that occasionally disturbed our sleep.

Masahiro and Nana create a welcoming atmosphere that quickly feels like home, with an outstanding breakfast featuring delicious pastries like meaty pizza. The apartment we had was spacious, allowing us to comfortably dine with our toddler. However, the guesthouse is on the upper levels, which can be challenging for those with heavy luggage, and some street noise at night may disrupt sleep. Overall, the location is superb for exploring, but be prepared for some climbing to get there.
